What's with the name?

Yay! I know have a blog! ...and with it the daunting responsibility of keeping it updated. We'll see how I do! For now, my purpose is mainly to keep it current on my support level. So if anyone wonders how it's going, check here!

So what's with the title?

Saffron is a flower and patriotic symbol of the land to which I hope to go. The flower is used as a spice and to make a beautiful gold dye.

Salt, according to one pastor, is: “that palatable, precious, penetrating preservative that prevents decay.”

My dream is to be salt in the Saffron Land.
